OK so anyway sometimes I'm listening to this and I'm like what its so beyond intuitive that it makes Marie Konman look like a fucking genius ("throw away trash :)" , like today in this episode Shrink our Grandmother was all like, 'can you believe that sometimes people who have debilitating diseases don't want to just die??' needless to say I was shocked. Then its just like piles of bullshit spewing out of his mouth I truly can no longer take the phenomenon of fake feel good science enlightenment liberalism pouring out of my phone when REAL science is even more fake and dumb. If I'm going to listen to a pseudo-intellectual podcast about crohns disease and quality of life or whatever bullshit it is this week at least get me a fucking xanax jesus christ i've probably learned more from fucking thistle and shamrock than from this off brand scientism. Don't even get me started on invisibilia, which is the exact same podcast but just with two idiots narrating
ok I'm not saying I have anything PERSONAL against the scientism industrial media complex, but I do wonder whether there is something diagnostic apparent in those who put their work and life into an endeavor that is essentially making something dumb even dumber in order for it to be consumed, its actually not that dissimilar than a line cook at mcdonalds taking a frozen piece of chicken garbage and throwing it into a deep fryer so that it then becomes hot and consumable - but no one is fooled into thinking they are doing something intelligent or intellectual when they go to Mcdonalds.
