OK so anyway sometimes I'm listening to this channel and I'm like
"is anything beyond intuitive"?
We get a 2hr feature interview with Marie Konman where she's framed as a fucking genius:
Meet this influencer who leverages her asian heritage to make money from telling people to
throw away trash :) ,
Today in this episode of hidden brain ShrinkUrGrandmother was all like, 'can you believe that v
sometimes people who have debilitating diseases don't want to just die??'
needless to say I was shocked.
it can just become piles of bullshit spewing out of his mouth. I truly can no longer bear the phenomenon of fake feel good science enlightenment liberalism pouring out of my phone when REAL science is even more fake and dumb. If I'm going to listen to a pseudo-intellectual podcast where a trendy nutritionist (fake science) makes the case that Crohn's disease and quality of life are inextricably linked
psychoanalysts would classify symptoms in the constellation of 'chrohns disease' as hysteric and mutable through interpretation. not as permanent pathology that merits its own syndicated medication / victim category / life style coaching
at least get me a fucking xanax jesus.
i've probably learned more from Thistle and Shamrock than from this off brand scientism.
And don't even get me started on Invisibilia, which is the exact same podcast but with two idiots narrating instead of one.
ok I'm not saying I have anything PERSONAL against the scientism industrial media complex, but I do wonder whether there is something diagnostic apparent in those who put their work and life into an endeavor that is essentially making something dumb even dumber in order for it to be consumed,
the functionality mimics that of a line cook at mcdonalds taking a frozen piece of chicken garbage and throwing it into a deep fryer so that it then becomes hot and consumable
but no one is fooled into thinking they are doing something intelligent or intellectual when they go to Mcdonalds.
